Established in 2013, PT Biomass Fuel Indonesia is a renewable energy company and part of the Biomass Fuel Co., Ltd. group of Japan. We are dedicated to providing high-quality biomass fuel solutions that meet rising global energy demand while supporting the transition towards a more sustainable future.
We have built a fully integrated operating system in-house, covering procurement, storage, quality control, and cargo shipment. This upstream-to-downstream integration ensures reliability, consistency of supply, and the highest quality, particularly in meeting the standards of the export energy markets in Japan and worldwide. Since 2013, BFI has exported a total volume of more than 300,000 MT of Palm Kernel Shell.

Core Product
Palm Kernel Shell (PKS)
Palm Kernel Shell is the flagship product of PT Biomass Fuel Indonesia. PKS is the shell of the palm kernel, valued for its high calorific value and low ash residue. Through full control of an integrated supply chain from the point of procurement to shipping, we guarantee a premium-quality PKS supply at large scale.
As an integrated part of Biomass Fuel Co., Ltd. Japan, we also hold the network and portfolio to support the global supply of alternative biomass fuels, including Wood Pellets and Wood Chips managed by our group business units.
Facilities & Operations
The reliability and supply stability of PT Biomass Fuel Indonesia rest on a highly strategic stockpile facility. Our stockpile sits within a radius of less than 5 km from the nearest loading port. Our location also has ideal geographic proximity to the local palm oil mills (CPO mills) that produce raw Palm Kernel Shell, reducing transport costs and depletion risk.
